Ko-sha’s Ikebana seminar in Sweden
This autumn we are honored to meet Ko-sha(Takako) Kashihara, a Sogetsu Ikebana teacher from Tokyo, Japan.
Sogetsu style is a contemporary Ikebana style.
We were able to express our mind through this art of flower arrangement. Ko-sha’s wonderful energy and skills inspired many, many of her students.
There were classes for all ages, from 9 years old to over 70 year old…. All of us could take important teaching with us in the future.
It is not only the beauty of the flowers catching the eye; it is also ancient teaching of wisdom coming through.
In our western lifestyle this old Japanese culture carries reminders of how to live your life in harmony.
We will all remember “beautiful lines” - maybe to have a good intention in life, that you keep holding on to, over time, “beautiful ikebana space” – maybe to give yourself time to reflect over your life, or to give space to be open minded, and “with heart, love” – maybe to live your life openhearted, loving what you do, and giving it lovingly to others.
Some times during ko-sha’s teaching we all felt the magic, the real beauty and joy of life. We are all so thankful that she came all the way from Japan to share her culture with us.
